The Penitent One returns in a gothic penance metroidvania built on Andalusian religious imagery: three switchable weapons double as traversal keys, boss fights play like blood-soaked liturgies, and the pixel art renders cathedral grotesquerie with awful beauty. Tighter and more readable than the first game, without losing its severity.
